We wrapped up an epic Love Esco Month by teaming up with our pals from Quantum Academy to make sandwiches and pack up 200 lunches for our neighbors in need at Interfaith!

Over 120 dedicated volunteers joined forces to beautify Kit Carson Park—clearing weeds, painting baseball posts, and adding mulch to the playgrounds. Huge shoutout to our amazing friends from San Pasqual National Honor Society, Emmanuel Faith Community Chur,h and countless neighbors who came together to make a positive impact!

Our little friends from the Escondido commu ity, including Emmanuel Faith Preschool and Faith Kids, made 700+ treats and wrote encouraging notes for our Escondido First Responders!

Our amazing volunteers helped to kick off the day by spreading good vibes with coffee and donuts for Del Dios Academy, Escondido High,School, the Escondido Public Works Department, and Palomar Hospital!

We partnered with the Escondido Arts Association for an extraordinary art exhibition themed "Seeing Red," achieving a record-breaking turnout with over 100 stunning pieces of art submitted!

We partnered with our friends at Reservoir Church to assemble care packages for 60 EUSD special needs teachers and staff!

We partnered with Moms of Escondido to donate period kits to young women at Cal-SAFE Escondido.

We assembled 10 care packages to show our appreciation or school counselors at Escondido High School and Del Dios Academy.

We partnered with our friends at Play As One to help coach and encourage kids at their football camp!

We partnered with local business, Daydream, to pack over 200 hygiene kits to support the Interfaith community!

36 bags of men’s clothing were donated to Ashley’s Hope to support the houseless comunity.

On Love Esco Day we hosted the San Diego Blood Bank, and 36 units of blood were donated.

We partnered with our friends at MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) to collect and assemble laundry kits for EUSD families!

We served 2 dinners for Interfaith’s Haven House Community!

Over 100 volunteers of all ages worked together to help beautify Downtown Escondido with partners Street Stewards and the City of Escondido.

We had over 50 volunteers participate in a cleanup on property owned by EUSD and the City of Escondido near Kit Carson Park.

Over the years the empty lot had gone to seed and become the haunt of disreputable people and drug users. Everybody agreed that it needed to be cleared of trees, bushes, grass and garbage.

Our community came together to help set our students up for success by donating 284 pairs of shoes and 683 pairs of socks! Also huge shout out to our community partners who generously offered their space as drop off sites including Daydream, Grangettos, Community Lutheran Church, Emmanuel Faith Community Church, Elote, and the Escondido Police Department.

We gave a city-wide bus tour exposing our neighbors not only to the issues and but the places of hope in our city. We shared about creative ways neighbors are engaging in their neighborhood to spread love and kindness. We hope that all those that attended view Escondido through a new perspective and more inspired to be a part of loving our city!

40+ amazing friends, families, students, and Escondido neighbors of all ages got together to work side by side while planting olive trees (with names like Olivia, Grace, and Lucy) and shrubs, pulling weeds, and helping to beautify our beloved city!

Congratulations to the Central Elementary 2022-2023 Student Council for being the first ever recipient of a Love Esco grant! Central School's garden is an area where students can go to relax when they're having a rough day or sit and chat quietly with friends. This year's Student Council members wanted to beautify the garden area with more plants. These easy-care plants will be a great addition to the garden and will remind future students of the 2022-23 student council's contribution to Central School.

50+ volunteers from A Step Beyond and Emmanuel Faith made 450 sack lunches and 700 sandwiches for the Interfaith Community!

100+ neighbors throughout Escondido posted Love Esco yard signs by their homes to show love for their neighborhood and the city!

We collaborated with our friends from Interfaith, Emmanuel Faith, and the Escondido Community Foundations to create two beautiful murals in the Interfaith parking lot: “Know Your Are Loved” and “Hope Rises Here.”

Countless service workers were gifted with extra cash and kindness by generous people across Escondido!

Over 80 volunteers of all ages worked together to put in 300+ hours of work to help beautify our beloved Kit Carson park, including volunteers from the City of Escondido, Emmanuel Faith, and Mayor Dane White.

Our little friends from Emmanuel Faith Preschool and Faith Kids made almost 600 treats and wrote encouraging notes for our Escondido First Responders!

Volunteers came out to serve coffee and donuts to show love and appreciation to 400+ teachers and staff at Juniper Elementary School, Lincoln Elementary School, Mission Middle School, and Bear Valley Middle School.

90+ volunteers, including friends from Street Stewards, Emmanuel Faith, Escondido Rotary, Mision Vida Nueva, Escondido Rotary, and Mayor Dane White, who put in 200+ hours to fill up 70+ huge bags of trash!

We threw a Valentine’s Day dinner for our friends at Interfaith Community Services Haven House and had a great time sharing stories, being serenaded, and making new friends!

Our friends at Reservoir Church hosted an event to pack hygiene kits for Interfaith! We were able to pack over 150 hygiene kits to benefit our unhoused neighbors!

We hosted a fun night for foster and adoptive families, as parents enjoyed the night off!

Our friends at Orchard Community Church hosted the San Diego Blood Bank, donating 24 units of blood which helps 72 lives!

We were able to donate 13 car seats to our friends at Olive Crest to help meet a huge need by providing foster and adoptive families with car seats.

We visited two senior communities, playing games, sharing stories, and spending time with our elderly friends!

Our team packed 14 laundry kit baskets for refugee families from Syria and Afghanistan living in Escondido and across San Diego.

We visited multiple local restaurants in Escondido (Frida’s, El Tejate, Sharetea, Elote, China Fun, Pho Lee, Sopranos) to host cash mobs and support local businesses and show extra generosity to service workers!

We partnered with our friends at MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) to collect and assemble laundry kits for EUSD families!

Around 200 people showed up for our Blast From The Past vintage car show! We had fun getting the community together to check out some amazing cars, stuff our faces with cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn, and hot dogs, enjoy face painting, and more!

We showed the local Escondido some love and support by helping the organizers to set up early in the morning and help direct the different vendors, as well as partnering with our friends at Bimbo to donate thousands of free snacks and share more about Love Esco at our booth!

Our team helped to celebrate local foster parents at the Spring Soiree Resource Parent Appreciation Night and hosted a fun night for the families with dinner for the parents and movie night for the kids!

We love and are so grateful for our Escondido teachers! Our Love Esco team helped teachers and staff from Oak Hill, Hidden Valley, and Rincon to celebrate the end of the school year with coffee and donuts!

Around $4,000 was collected for our annual Alternatives Medical Center Baby Bottle Drive! Your generous gifts help AMC in their mission to save and protect preborn lives.

We collected 50+ hygiene kits for the homeless community of Escondido! Through our partnership with Interfaith, these kits will be provided to individuals who come to their facilities for services like showers and laundry.

We collected over 3,000 pounds of food and pantry items for the annual Interfaith Food Drive! Our volunteers also picked up, sorted, and loaded the donations that will help Interfaith continue to feed and support our neighbors in need.

We helped to repair the 3 gardens at Orange Glen Elementary School and create a beautiful space for students to play and learn.

Our team of voluneers had fun hiking the North Clevenger Trail together and also helped to clean it up!

We helped the community of Conway Elementary by rebuilding and repairing the gardens that had become overgrown. Unfortunately, the gardens were vandalized a week later, but we were able to send out another team to make the gardens more beautiful than ever! We partnered with Councilwoman Martinez and cleaned up El Norte Park and the surrounding neighborhood! It was a great time of families and people of all ages working together to bless the community! We packed 125+ wellness bags filled with snacks, sensory toys, and other wellness items to help high school students from the Escondido Union High School District who are struggling with mental and emotional health, especially after the turmoil of the last few years.

We delivered Valentines to a local memory care facility and to Escondido residents who are shut-in at home.

We spent the afternoon at packing 200 care bags and writing cards for our Escondido PD!

American Red Cross collected 40 units of blood from the Love Esco team.

We partnered with Interfaith Services to help cook and serve a special Valentine's dinner for the clients at their emergency homeless shelter. Lots of food, love, and smiles were shared!

We repainted and performed maintenance on fire hydrants all around Escondido to help the Escondido FD!

You collected and assembled 217 hygiene kits for the homeless community of Escondido! Through our partnership with Interfaith, these kits will be provided to individuals who come to their facilities for services like showers and laundry.

American Red Cross collected 44 units of blood from the Love Esco team. 58% of the participants were first time blood donors! A special thanks to the volunteers who helped with check in at the drive!

You provided laundry kits to local families in need! These kits help offset the high cost of laundry services and allow moms and dads to provide clean clothing for their children.

That's right- you donated over 7,000 lbs of food and pantry items to the annual Interfaith Food Drive! Despite the drizzly day, our volunteers picked up, sorted, and loaded the donations that will help Interfaith feed our hungry neighbors!

On May 22nd, nearly 80 volunteers from Love Esco met at Kit Carson Park to help clean Tree Lake. They raked, bagged, and hauled vegetation and debris and filled a 40 cu ft container! This team worked alongside of the City of Escondido Park Crew to beautify the park. The shore of Tree Lake is now visible and families can enjoy watching wildlife swimming and splashing in the lake.

We love Escondido teachers! This month, we collected snacks, office supplies, and lots of coffee to show our love and appreciation for teachers and staff at two neighboring schools. Our stealthy Love Teachers Team set up all the snacks in the teacher's lounge after school hours. The next morning, teachers were surprised to find popcorn, chocolate, cans of cold brew coffee, and sweet messages of encouragement.

A team from The Well worked with the Alabaster Jar Project to provide a beautiful space for their clients. This is a ministry that empowers survivors of human trafficking. The Well laid the groundwork for a future urban garden and also painted and cleaned at the facility.

The Love Esco Team ordered 43 TransFARMation food boxes from Solutions Farms. Each box of fresh, organic produce represents job training, life skills, and assistance to families overcoming homelessness.
